kadu-dev software package provides Development files needed to compile plugins for kadu, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kadu-dev
kadu-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kadu-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kadu-dev *
You will get with kadu-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
